Bathroom Refurbishment FAQs
- How long does a bathroom refurbishment take?
- Most full bathroom refurbishments run for around two to three weeks on site, depending on the size of the room, whether plumbing or electrics are being moved, tiling extent and the lead times on your chosen fixtures and fittings. Your programme is confirmed in writing with your quotation.
- What does a bathroom refurbishment cost?
- Cost depends on scope and specification rather than a fixed price list. Full refurbishments we quote typically start from around £8,000, and larger ensuite, wet room or reconfigured layouts cost more. There is no mandatory minimum spend — we will tell you honestly what your brief is likely to cost.
- Do you handle plumbing, electrics and tiling, or do I need other trades?
- We manage the whole refurbishment as one project, including preparation, plumbing, tiling, installation of fixtures and fittings, finishing and snagging, with appropriately qualified trades coordinated by us. You deal with one point of contact throughout.
- Can you build a wet room or ensuite?
- Yes. We carry out wet rooms and ensuites, including substrate preparation, tanking and waterproofing, drainage falls, tiling and fitting out. Suitability is confirmed at the site assessment stage.
- Which areas do you cover?
- We work across London and Surrey. If you are just outside that area, call us and we will tell you straight away whether we can help.
- Do you supply the tiles, fixtures and fittings?
- We can supply and install, or install items you have chosen and purchased yourself. We will advise on specification, suitability and lead times either way.
- What qualifications and experience does Terra Forge have?
- Terra Forge Limited is led by a construction professional with 12+ years of hands-on construction experience, an NVQ Level 7 qualification and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from London South Bank University. That construction management background is what drives our planning, sequencing and quality control on site.
- What happens at snagging and handover?
- Before final handover we complete quality checks and a snagging walkthrough with you. Anything identified is put right as part of the agreed works, then the bathroom is cleaned and formally handed over.
